I was thinking today how our children have their best talks with their friends and family by texting on their cell phones. My daughter Anna will not talk to me face to face about something important, but we can send 100 texts and talk about whats important or bothering. It bothers me that we are raising a generation of people that can only communicate through text. One day, there will be no more laughter. People will just say "LOL". Now that is sad

Thank you Lisa, this was right-on. It's just so important and necssary to make these observations. Sounds to me like your mother nurtured an Honorable lady. In point of fact, to be honorable is to adhere to an ethical and moral set of principles which require the moral courage to be honest or truthful....and that my friend is you.

You definitely have to ignore what people say about you if they only know you from a TV or radio show. They don't know you.

Fame is fleeting. As Heidi Klum says, one day you're in, the next day you're out.

Pass the peanut butter cups!

McCain spoke at the memorial service for Mark Bingham, who was one of the heroes of United flight 93. He said that Mark, a gay man, saved his life by helping to bring that plane down. Yet McCain supports keeping gay citizens as third-class citizens, unable to serve in our military, unable to have ANY kind of marriage rights, and unable to have equal rights to work or buy a home without discrimination. McCain is a jerk.

The most awarded film in history is "Brokeback Mountain" yet the Academy gave the Oscar to "Crash," which is already forgotten, instead of "Brokeback." I think it is obvious that homophobia is the reason for this, so I don't care about the Oscars anymore. To me, "Brokeback Mountain" is the most perfect and wonderful film ever made. It is so brilliantly crafted, and is so rich in classical allusions, that it will be studied for centuries to come. I have lived a variation of the Brokeback story, so I am partial. I waited 50 years to finally see a movie that I could truly relate to.

This is very sad. Our media in America care first and foremost about sales and profits. News and Truth are down around #674 on the list.

My name is Jennifer Rogers. I am a Medium and I live in Southern NJ. I know exactly how you both feel. My sisters are my biggest cheerleaders in this crazy world. I deal with a lot of negative issues and people. It is so nice to have a sister that you can go home and call and just say anything to. I do a lot of traveling and I meet so many interesting sets of sisters. Its so funny that even when fame knocks on your door your sisters just giggle at you. People walk up to me all the time and ask--"Are you Jennifer Rogers?" "Are you that Medium?" She looks at me with a grin. I love it. Keep it positive and enjoy life.
